I'm free Tuesday if anyone is interested in meeting up. I'm fortunate enough to have great family and friends, but sometimes I wish I could have friends who actually understood the things I might be going through.I live in Lucan but I have a car so I can drive if necessary. Hi again I have a night off this Friday so may have hell of a head on Saturday so probably won't make it (& won't have the kids back till afternoon! We are around on wednesday afternoon if anyone else was..I'll definitely try another Saturday. I have tried to organise many things in the past but not many turned up or kids not the same playing age. I'm thinking of starting a group on facebook to try and round up some people to organise things with; be it going to the park with the kids or just meeting up somewhere (kid-friendly) for a coffee and a chat.
Hey, I'm fairly new to singledom and would love to get in touch with a few single parents around the south dublin area, just for a bit of chat really. We could pm each others mobiles and names ...perhaps meet at back if marlay house where there are a few benches ?? We should maybe try & meet in Marlay sometime with kids for a coffee...those Saturday/ Sundays surrounded by happy families can be toughies sometimes! Hi My first time on this forum tonight - would love to link up with other mums in same situation for a chat and coffee- am 13 months separated and have a 6 year old daughter and living on south side and havent found any social groups. Hi beetlebum....you ever get to meet up with other separated mums? Amy get in touch with me please, I don't know if I can help as I never had a property to deal with but I'm here for you ok? /SPARKsingleparents also girls check this out I'm up for meeting up in South Dublin my dd is almost 5, I'm almost 29 :) am studying full time so can be quite unavailable sometimes but still would love to link in with you all...
Also, does anyone know any support groups in the area? I am a single dad 34 from dubai but in dublin 10 years. My eight year old son may be a bit ratty as had a cub overnight on Friday! I have been trying to set up a social meeting group for ages and finding it hard to get started! Hi ladies, I have been googling support groups in Dublin south/west and came across this thread. :) Hiya I'm 27 and have just moved to Dublin from Mayo with my 3 and a half year old daughter.
I was reading all the post and I do agree it's tough raising child on your own Ideally looking for people in dublin area to share their experiences and arrange meetups Hey there, Check out my new page for single moms and dads who want to go on holidays together, share experiences of travel etc.https:// Parent Holidays Ireland Hi ladies, I'm not around tomorrow. I'm a single mother to a ds who is nearly 3 and would love to meet up with other single mothes. I would really love to start some sort of group for the single parents out there.
DS is with his dad and I'm working for a few hours. Like most women here said, it's not to whinge, moan and give out.... Not that I like to complain too much about my situation, but raising a child alone IS tough!!!
i havent researched for a while now though, so maybe its changed.
you could look at treoir or oneparent web sites..be more helpful. If it were me, probably not tbh, I prefer being in a relationship with no baggage from the offset, kids, ex boyfriends still hanging around, that sort of thing.I do want my own kids some day but being brought into a childs life when they're not yours and then having them ask questions about their real dad wouldnt be for me Depends on the woman TBH.Ive dated single mothers in the past, never anything serious and it never led to a "relationship".Things just fizzled out but the fact they had a child didnt come into the equation. If I like her and she likes me then I will date her. For every single mother out there theres a single dad.
